Here are suggestions in order to make the most of your first visit
- Please stop all oral antihistamines at least 5-7 days before skin testing (review the withholding of medications list)
- Please stop antihistamine eye drops and Singulair one day before skin testing
- Do not stop your asthma medications or nasal steroids
- Please allow at least two hours for your visit if skin testing is considered
- In order to minimize the discomfort in skin testing in children, it is recommended to apply EMLA cream on the back one hour before skin testing followed by covering with clean film.
